PGA Tour Superstore is set to open its first Baltimore-area location on August 15, bringing the national golf equipment and apparel chain to Timonium.
The 29,440-square-foot store will sit at 1910 York Road, just north of the city and minutes from the Maryland State Fairgrounds and Hunt Valley. Doors open at 9 a.m., with thousands of dollars in giveaways planned for the first guests in line.
"At our new Timonium location, golfers will find the largest and latest selection of equipment and apparel, supported by knowledgeable Associates and a best-in-class in-store experience," said Troy Rice, CEO of PGA Tour Superstore. "From lessons and club fittings to repairs and state-of-the-art simulators, we look forward to offering golfers of all skill levels our expertise and services to help them enjoy their game more."
The store is built around more than just retail shelves. An 1,800-square-foot putting green will let customers test putters, work on their short game, or give kids something to do while browsing. Two STUDIO bays and additional hitting bays will offer professional instruction, swing analysis, and club fitting for golfers looking to dial in their equipment.
A dedicated Golf Simulator Showroom will showcase a range of simulator systems and accessories aimed at customers looking to build a setup at home, whether for serious practice or just entertaining family and friends.
The store will also carry a full range of apparel and footwear for men, women, and juniors — gear built for both the course and, as the company put it, "the cobblestones of Fells Point."
The Timonium opening marks PGA Tour Superstore's continued expansion into the Mid-Atlantic, adding a new option for Baltimore-area golfers who previously had to travel farther afield for the chain's combination of retail, instruction, and simulator technology under one roof.
