The Baltimore Orioles beat the Tampa Bay Rays 6-5 on Friday as Gunnar Henderson delivered a dominant offensive performance and the bullpen survived a three-run ninth-inning scare to close it out.

Henderson went 4-for-4 with a home run, a double, two RBI, and two runs scored to pace the Baltimore offense. Dylan Beavers added two hits and two RBI off the bench, while Colton Cowser contributed a solo home run.

Baltimore built a four-run cushion through eight innings, scoring a pair of runs each in the seventh and eighth, before Yennier Cano allowed three runs on three hits in 0.2 innings in the ninth, turning a comfortable lead into a one-run game. Cam Sanders entered and retired the Rays to secure the save.

Josh Walker earned the win in relief, with Sanders collecting his save as Garrett Cleavinger took the loss for Tampa Bay after surrendering two hits and two earned runs in just a third of an inning. Baltimore starter Chris Bassitt worked 5.1 innings, allowing two earned runs.
