Orioles Face Blue Jays Rookie Spencer Miles and His 2.77 ERA in Game 2 at Toronto

Baltimore looks to extend a two-game winning streak Saturday against a starter with the best ERA among AL rookie arms.

Baltimore Sports Feed · September 12, 2026

The Orioles (72-76) continue their three-game road series at Rogers Centre on Saturday, looking to build on Friday's win against the Toronto Blue Jays (73-75).

Dylan Beavers was the offensive catalyst in the opener, going 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in the 7-4 victory. Christian Encarnacion-Strand added a 3-for-4 performance, and Colton Cowser contributed two RBI on a double. On the mound, Chris Bassitt gave the Orioles length with five innings and five strikeouts while allowing two earned runs, with Josh Walker and Andrew Kittredge combining for 2.1 scoreless innings of relief.

Toronto counters Saturday with RHP Spencer Miles (6-2, 2.77 ERA), a young arm who has been one of the tougher outs in the AL this season. Kyle Bradish (7-13, 3.91 ERA) takes the ball for Baltimore. A win would pull the Orioles within 2.0 games of the final AL wild-card spot with the regular season winding down — at 3.0 back, there is little margin left for dropped series against a Toronto club that is right in the same playoff conversation at 73-75.

Probable Starters

Toronto Blue Jays: RHP Spencer Miles (6-2, 2.77 ERA)
