The Baltimore Ravens beat the Indianapolis Colts 41-23 Sunday as Derrick Henry had three scores and Lamar Jackson's 5-yard touchdown run in the first quarter gave Baltimore a lead it never relinquished, capping a comeback from an early deficit.
Henry finished with 144 yards on 24 carries and three touchdowns to pace the Ravens ground attack, while Jackson completed 17 of 25 passes for 324 yards and added a rushing score of his own in their debut in first-year offensive coordinator Declan Doyle's designs. Zay Flowers contributed 150 receiving yards and a touchdown on five catches, including a 54-yard gain, before leaving early with a hamstring injury, as Baltimore piled up points in a dominant offensive performance in head coach Jesse Minter's debut.
The Ravens' offense moved the ball efficiently throughout, with Jackson and Henry combining to control the game on the ground while Jackson found Flowers and others for big plays through the air. Indianapolis got production from Jonathan Taylor, who rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns, but Daniel Jones finished with just 166 passing yards and an interception — picked off by linebacker Roquan Smith — as the Colts could not keep pace.
Baltimore also got strong special-teams play from Tyler Loop, who made both his field goal attempts and connected from 57 yards, and the Ravens will look to build on the victory when they host the New Orleans Saints next Sunday.
