The Baltimore Orioles optioned left-handed pitcher Josh Walker to the Norfolk Tides on Thursday, sending him back to Triple-A as the organization made a series of roster adjustments.
Walker's optioning was one of several moves Baltimore made on the same day. The Orioles also optioned catcher Yohel Pozo to Norfolk — though they had claimed Pozo off waivers from the St. Louis Cardinals the same day — and designated outfielder Johnathan Rodríguez for assignment before ultimately optioning him to Norfolk as well. Toronto also claimed outfielder Rudy Martin Jr. off waivers from Baltimore, further thinning the big league roster and likely driving the day's flurry of moves.
