The Baltimore Orioles have signed outfielder Ty Head, their second-round selection (46th overall) in the 2026 MLB Draft, for a $2.43 million bonus, per MLB.com. Head, a draft-eligible sophomore out of North Carolina State, was the first Wolfpack player taken in this year's draft and arrives in Baltimore after a two-year college career in Raleigh.
Head's selection at 46th overall makes him the highest-drafted NC State player since catcher Patrick Bailey was taken in the first round six years ago. The Orioles also made roster moves on the same day, recalling left-hander Josh Walker from Triple-A Norfolk.
