The Baltimore Orioles have signed right-handed pitcher David Lally Jr. to a minor league contract as an undrafted free agent. Born January 8, 2004, Lally spent two seasons at the University of Michigan after beginning his college career at Notre Dame. The signing of the senior right-hander adds pitching depth to Baltimore's minor league system.
Lally's signing came on a busy day of roster activity for the Orioles, who also added left-hander Regan Hall and right-hander Camden Wicker on minor league deals, designated catcher Sam Huff for assignment, recalled catcher Yohel Pozo from Triple-A Chesapeake, and traded outfielder Johnathan Rodríguez to the Pittsburgh Pirates for cash.
