The Baltimore Orioles have signed left-handed pitcher Regan Hall to a minor league contract, adding the University of Illinois product as an undrafted free agent. Hall is the first Illini to land with an MLB organization via the undrafted free agent route this season. The University of Illinois Athletics announced the signing on July 13, with the transaction formally logged by MLB.com on July 27.
The move is one of several the Orioles made in the same transaction window, as Baltimore also signed right-hander Camden Wicker to a minor league deal and traded outfielder Johnathan Rodríguez to the Pittsburgh Pirates for cash. Hall will enter the Orioles' minor league system as the organization continues to build pitching depth on the left side.
