Baltimore Sports Feed · August 6, 2026

The Orioles (56-58) host the Los Angeles Angels (43-71) Thursday night at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in the series finale and Baltimore is seeking a sweep.

Baltimore took the middle game of the series Wednesday behind a strong outing from Trevor Rogers, who worked six innings and struck out nine while allowing two runs in a 5-2 victory. Coby Mayo went 2-for-4 with a home run and an RBI, while Leody Taveras and Tyler O'Neill each homered and drove in two runs.

Yennier Cano closed things out with a clean inning and two strikeouts, and the Orioles are now just two games under .500 and a half of game out of the final American League wild-card spot in the standings. That's despite trading away catcher Adley Rutschman (who was already on the 10-day injured list), outfielder Taylor Ward, relief pitcher Tyler Wells, and starter Dean Kremer at the trade deadline.

The O's have taken advantage of favorable matchup with the Angels to start the post-trade deadline stretch on a run.

Los Angeles sits near the bottom of the American League West.

Ryan Johnson (2-6, 7.63 ERA) takes the ball for the visitors. Brandon Young (8-2, 3.31 ERA) goes for Baltimore.
