The Baltimore Ravens promoted tight end Nick Vannett from the practice squad to the active roster on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
Vannett, 33, has 11 seasons of NFL experience and played college football at Ohio State.
Unlike a game-day elevation, signing a player to the active roster keeps him on the 53 until the team makes another move, and other clubs can no longer sign him away from the practice squad.
Also on Oct. 7, the Ravens signed fullback Lucas Scott to the practice squad, the Ravens acquired center Cam Jurgens via trade from the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2027 fifth-round pick and 2028 second-round pick and the Ravens placed tight end Durham Smythe on injured reserve.
