The Orioles look to avoid a three-game sweep Wednesday afternoon at Camden Yards, coming off back-to-back losses to the White Sox in which Baltimore's pitching has been battered for 17 combined runs. The club has lost seven of its last eight and sits at 39-48, well out of the Wild Card picture heading toward the All-Star break.
"We have to be able to play our game from start to finish," manager Craig Albernaz said after Tuesday's 9-3 loss. "Control what we can control and put pressure on the other team." The Orioles haven't announced a starter for this afternoon's matinee, while Chicago sends Noah Schultz (2-4, 5.82 ERA) to the mound looking to complete the sweep. The White Sox have gone 13-12 in June, their first back-to-back winning months since 2021.
