The Baltimore Orioles optioned left-hander Nick Raquet to Triple-A Norfolk on July 13, clearing an active roster spot to accommodate the call-up of catcher Sam Huff, who joins the big-league club as a third catcher option. Raquet had been with the major league club since being recalled from Norfolk on July 7, a stay of less than a week.
The Raquet optioning was one of several moves the Orioles made on the day. Baltimore also acquired right-hander Cam Sanders from Pittsburgh for cash considerations, optioning him directly to Norfolk, and transferred left-hander Keegan Akin to the 60-day injured list to create space on the 40-man roster.
