Orioles Sign No. 7 Overall Pick Eric Booth Jr. Out of High School

The 18-year-old Mississippi outfielder was Baltimore's top selection in the 2026 MLB Draft.

The Baltimore Orioles have signed outfielder Eric Booth Jr., the seventh overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft. Booth, a left-handed-hitting outfielder out of Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Miss., was selected on July 11 and is now officially in the fold ahead of the July 27 signing deadline. The 18-year-old stands 6-foot, 207 pounds and is regarded as one of the top prep players in this year's draft class. A specific signing bonus figure has not yet been publicly announced.

Born July 4, 2008, Booth is a speedy outfielder who was committed collegiately before Baltimore came calling with the seventh pick. The signing adds a high-ceiling, toolsy prospect to an Orioles system that continues to build through the draft.
