Here's Who Is On and Off the Ravens' 53-Man Roster

Today was cutdown day across the NFL. Every team, including the Ravens, had until 6 p.m. Eastern to trim its roster from the offseason maximum down to the regular-season limit of 53 players, and Baltimore made its official announcement after 9 p.m.

Here's a full breakdown of who made it, who didn't, and the moves that got the Ravens there.

The headline decision was at quarterback. The Ravens are keeping Joe Fagnano, as ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported earlier Sunday, meaning Baltimore will carry three quarterbacks on its 53-man roster for the first time in years. The 25-year-old rookie earned it — after starting his college career at Maine and finishing it at UConn, Fagnano turned in a preseason that made him impossible to cut, completing 56 of 75 passes for 489 yards, three touchdowns, and just one interception across three games.

The 6-foot-3, 225 pounder is a Williamsport, Pennsylvania native, not far removed from Baltimore, and he beat out a real numbers crunch to lock down a spot behind Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley.

"My goal coming in was just to make the most of my opportunities. What I can control is what I wanted to control. The stuff that is out of my hands is out of my hands," Fagnano said after Friday night preseason finale, in which he finished 19 of 27 for 162 yards, with passing and rushing touchdowns against the Washington Commanders. "I think I have done a nice job to put myself in a good position, but I can put my head on the pillow tonight and sleep well knowing that I gave it all I had. What is out of my hands and what is out of my control is not my worry."

The Ravens didn't want to risk losing him.

"He legitimately played his way onto this roster, and [it] just felt like it gave us the best situation for the quarterbacks," Ravens first-year coach Jesse Minter said on Monday. "He's a guy that probably would have had a lot of interest from other teams with the way that he played, and so you do not want to let good players like that leave your building... This is a guy that took advantage of every rep, and then when his number was called and the lights were on, he really performed."

In three preseason games, Fagnano looked like another "Joe Cool" from Baltimore, Joe Flacco, and Fagnano, even as his future remained uncertain Friday night, offered wisdom beyond the typical rookie.

"One day, you are a great quarterback, and the next day, you are terrible. I do not go with the ups and downs. I know who I am as a person and as a quarterback, so I have always had that confidence, and I think you need that at quarterback," Fagnano said. "I think you need a little — whether it is confidence or moxie — whatever you want to call it. I think you just need that because, at the end of the day, a lot of it is going to fall on you, but you have to be able to be steady and take it one day at a time."

Baltimore made two trades Saturday to help clear roster spots. Defensive tackle C.J. Okoye was dealt to the Giants for a 2028 seventh-round pick, reuniting him with John Harbaugh, who coached him in Baltimore last season. Offensive tackle Diego Pounds went to the Chiefs, with compensation that ESPN's Adam Schefter reported would land as either a 2027 or 2028 Day 3 pick depending on where Kansas City's own selections fall by year's end.

More moves followed Sunday. Inside linebacker Michael Barrett, signed to the roster just last week, was released, according to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec. Other reported cuts included cornerbacks Lardarius Webb Jr. and Robert Longerbeam, wide receivers Octavian Smith Jr. and Cortez Braham Jr., and defensive lineman Dion Wilson Jr. One of the more surprising releases was receiver Chris Moore, who turned in a strong final preseason outing with a touchdown and could still be a practice-squad candidate if he clears waivers and returns to Baltimore.

On the defensive side, another undrafted free agent, outside linebacker Ethan Burke, made the 53-man roster, as The Baltimore Sun's Brian Wacker reported earlier Sunday.

The rookie out of Texas spent the preseason showing off exactly the kind of disruptive, high-motor play that turns tryout players into real roster considerations, and it paid off. Burke comes from a football family with deep Baltimore-area lacrosse roots — his father played lacrosse at St. Mary's and UMBC before becoming head coach at Archbishop Spalding, and Ethan played plenty of lacrosse himself and was committed to play at Maryland before football became his path to the NFL.

“He has just been really consistent," Minter said on Monday of Burke. "When you look at particularly two phases of the game, I think he played really well on special teams, and he has been really consistent on defense with what he can bring to the table. [He's] really physical, really rugged, but a really good rusher. He has had some really good days rushing the passer out here in training camp and also in the preseason games. I thought he has been dominant at times in special teams on the kickoff team in particular, so again, just a guy that kind of played his way onto the team.”

Burke said he would do his best not to let the nerves of cutdown day get to him. "Yes, it is just a normal day, right? Something is going to happen, but I will just try and be myself. Act normal. We are good," he said.

Perhaps the most notable name released Sunday was outside linebacker Adisa Isaac. Baltimore used a third-round pick on him out of Penn State back in 2024 with real expectations attached, but a string of injuries kept him from ever carving out a consistent role — across his two seasons with the team, he totaled just four games played and 32 defensive snaps. Another club looking for a developmental pass rusher could take a flier on him, but the Ravens appeared satisfied with the depth they already had at the position.

Baltimore also parted ways with seventh-round pick Rayshaun Benny, though CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz reports the team hopes to bring the rookie defensive lineman back to the practice squad if he clears waivers. Benny, a Michigan product who won a national championship with the Wolverines, picked up four tackles and a sack during the preseason.

On the offensive line, the Ravens released tackle Gerad "Tank" Lichtenhan. The 6-foot-7, 329-pound swing tackle spent all of 2025 on Baltimore's practice squad and played a heavy workload this preseason, taking 176 of the team's 208 offensive snaps — enough of a track record that he could draw interest as a waiver claim from another team looking for tackle depth.

Baltimore also waived linebacker Dominic DeLuca. The undrafted rookie out of Penn State put together a strong camp and closed the preseason with eight tackles in the finale against Washington, making him another name who could be a candidate to return.

One notable name isn't a cut at all. Running back Adam Randall, a draft choice hand-picked by Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti, who saw real playing time as recently as last week's preseason finale, was designated for return on injured reserve rather than included on the initial 53, along with cornerback Bilhal Kone. Both remain with the organization and are eligible to return later in the season once healthy.
