The Baltimore Orioles selected the contract of right-hander Albert Suárez from Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday, Sept. 24.
Selecting a player's contract adds him to the 40-man roster as well as the active roster, which usually requires another move to open a 40-man spot.
Also on Sept. 24, the Orioles optioned right-hander Trey Gibson to the Florida Complex League Orioles and the Orioles transferred right-hander Kyle Bradish to the 60-day injured list.
