The Baltimore Orioles sent right-hander Yosver Zulueta outright to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday, Nov. 2.
Zulueta, 28, is a native of Remedios, Cuba. In 2026, Zulueta posted a 5.68 ERA with 48 strikeouts and 29 walks over 44 1/3 innings in 44 Triple-A appearances. He owns a career 5.32 ERA in 19 major league appearances.
An outright assignment takes a player off the 40-man roster without releasing him. Zulueta first had to pass through waivers, meaning every other club declined to claim him. Depending on service time and whether a player has been outrighted before, he can sometimes reject the assignment and elect free agency instead. On Sept. 28, the Orioles recalled him from Triple-A Norfolk. As of publication, Baltimore's 40-man roster stands at 37 players.
Also on Nov. 2, the Orioles claimed right-hander Chase Hampton off waivers from the St. Louis Cardinals, the Orioles claimed catcher Zach Morgan off waivers from the San Francisco Giants and the Orioles sent outfielder Heston Kjerstad outright to Triple-A Norfolk.
