Gunnar Henderson is the most complete position player the Orioles have developed in a generation. He hit .281 with 37 home runs and 9.1 WAR in 2024 — the best offensive season by an Orioles shortstop since Cal Ripken Jr. — then battled through a 2025 intercostal strain and still posted 30 stolen bases. April 2024 AL Player of the Month: .312, 9 HR, 24 RBI. Led all position players with 9.1 bWAR — the best offensive season by an Orioles shortstop since Cal Ripken Jr. First All-Star selection.
