Ravens Injury Report Week 8: Jaylinn Hawkins, Vega Ioane Out vs. Bills; Roquan Smith, Kyle Hamilton Cleared

Smith and Hamilton finished the week with full practices and no game designation, while T.J. Tampa Jr. and Adam Randall are questionable to come off injured reserve. Final Ravens and Bills injury reports for Sunday at Highmark Stadium.

Baltimore Sports Feed · October 29, 2026

The Ravens will be without two starters in Buffalo. Safety Jaylinn Hawkins and right guard Vega Ioane, both dealing with knee injuries, were ruled out on Friday's final injury report ahead of Sunday's Week 8 game against the Bills.

The bigger news on defense went the other way. Linebacker Roquan Smith and safety Kyle Hamilton, who both missed Wednesday's practice with knee injuries, were full participants Friday and carry no game designation. Both are on track to play.

Cornerback T.J. Tampa Jr. and running back Adam Randall are questionable as they work back from injured reserve.

What the Ravens Report Tells Us

Hawkins and Ioane are the only Ravens ruled out. Hawkins didn't practice at all this week, so his status was the least surprising decision on the report. Ioane is a tougher loss for the offensive line. The rookie practiced on a limited basis Thursday and Friday but wasn't cleared. Emery Jones Jr. has been the listed backup at right guard on the Ravens depth chart, and Keondre Jackson has been the backup at both safety spots.

Smith and Hamilton made it all the way back. Both captains went from did-not-participate Wednesday to limited Thursday to full Friday, and neither carries a designation. Baltimore will have its defensive play-caller and its most versatile defensive back in the lineup, which matters even more with Hawkins out of the secondary.

The left side of the line is set. John Simpson upgraded to a full practice Friday and has no designation, so the Ravens will be without only one starting guard instead of two.

Friday DNPs for Campbell and Stanley aren't a concern. Calais Campbell's absence was listed as rest, and Ronnie Stanley's Friday listing includes rest along with his toe and ankle. Neither has a game designation, which means both are expected to play.

Lamar Jackson is a go. Jackson practiced fully all three days and carries no designation for his ankle.

Tampa and Randall are questionable to return from injured reserve. Both players finished the week with full practices. Because they're still on injured reserve, the Ravens would need to activate them to the 53-man roster for either to play Sunday. Tampa, who left the season-opening win in Indianapolis with a knee injury, would add depth to a secondary that's down a safety.

What the Bills Report Tells Us

Tyrell Shavers is Buffalo's only player ruled out. The receiver stays on the sideline as he works back from the physically unable to perform list.

Six Bills are questionable. The list includes tight end Dalton Kincaid and receiver DJ Moore, who were limited all three days, and outside linebacker TJ Parker, who finished with a full practice Friday.

Spencer Brown got on the field Friday. The tackle missed Wednesday and Thursday with a back injury before returning in a limited role, which keeps him in the mix for Sunday.

Dee Alford's ankle is the one to watch. The cornerback hasn't practiced since Wednesday, and a DNP-DNP finish usually makes a questionable tag lean toward sitting.

Greg Gaines was a Friday addition. The defensive lineman appeared on the report for the first time with a calf injury, practiced on a limited basis and is questionable.

Several Bills were cleared. Bradley Chubb, Ray Davis and Joe Andreessen all practiced fully Friday and have no designation, and Ed Oliver, T.J. Sanders and Ar'maj Reed-Adams also finished the week healthy.

How to Read an NFL Injury Report

NFL teams file practice reports on each of the three practice days before a Sunday game, then attach a game status to each player on Friday.

Practice participation

Game status (Friday)

Practice windows: Players returning from injured reserve or the PUP list are "designated for return" when they begin practicing again. Their team then has 21 days to add them back to the active roster.
