Mark Andrews

Mark Andrews is the Ravens' franchise leader in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown catches — the only tight end in Ravens history to hold all three records simultaneously, a distinction that put him alongside Travis Kelce as the only players at the position to claim a franchise's receiving triple crown. He was drafted 86th overall in 2018 by the same team that took Lamar Jackson 32nd overall in the same draft. They've been the most productive QB-TE combination in the AFC since the moment they started playing together.

Andrews' 2021 season was one of the best ever by a tight end: 107 receptions, 1,361 yards, and 9 touchdowns, earning him First-Team All-Pro and his second Pro Bowl selection. He became only the second tight end in NFL history to top 100 catches and 1,300 yards in the same season, joining Travis Kelce. The Ravens went 8-9 that year — Andrews' numbers were that good in a lost season.

Andrews was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a child and has been open about managing it throughout his professional career. He wears a continuous glucose monitor during games and practice. He has spoken publicly about wanting to be a role model for young athletes with the same diagnosis — the message being that it doesn't define what you can accomplish athletically. His advocacy work in the Baltimore community includes partnerships with diabetes awareness organizations.

Since Lamar Jackson took over as starter in Week 11 of 2018, Andrews has been his most reliable target. When Lamar and Andrews are both on the field, Jackson's Total QBR jumps roughly 10 points compared to when Andrews is absent. The 2025 extension that kept Andrews in Baltimore through 2028 was described by GM Eric DeCosta as keeping "an all-time Raven" — a phrase that carries real weight in a franchise that's had very few players earn it.
