Ja'Kobi Lane

Lane arrived at USC as a four-star recruit out of Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Arizona, where he was named Elite 11 Wide Receiver MVP. Over three seasons as a Trojan, he caught 99 passes for 1,363 yards and 18 touchdowns across 30 games. His signature performance came in the 2024 Las Vegas Bowl — seven catches, 127 yards, and a bowl-record three touchdowns, earning him game MVP honors. The Ravens made him the 80th overall pick in the 2026 draft, calling him, in GM Eric DeCosta's words, "a different dynamic" the receiver room hadn't had before.

Lane has been the breakout story of Ravens training camp, making a habit of highlight-reel catches against Baltimore's own secondary. Offensive coordinator Declan Doyle compared his hands to former Saints receiver Michael Thomas, calling him "very sticky" with a catch radius that lets quarterbacks trust the ball is coming down with him even on imperfect throws. With Zay Flowers sidelined by a quad contusion in mid-August, Lane saw an uptick in first-team reps as the Ravens opened the preseason. He's pushed back on the idea that his game is limited to contested catches: "I think I am a great wide receiver that has a lot of traits besides the 'jump ball,'" he said during camp. His favorite route is a fade.

Lane totaled 141 catches for 1,813 yards and 25 touchdowns across his final two seasons at Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Arizona, and was named the 2022 Elite 11 Wide Receiver MVP before signing with USC. Since being drafted, he's been mentored by Ravens legend Todd Heap, one of several former Baltimore players — including Steve Smith Sr., Torrey Smith, and Dez Bryant — who vouched publicly for Lane's game before the draft.
