How to read the injury report
Before a Sunday game, teams file a practice report on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Friday's report adds a game status for every listed player. Short weeks, like a Thursday night game, move that schedule up.
- DNP (did not participate)
- The player sat out that day's practice.
- Limited
- The player practiced but took fewer than his normal reps.
- Full
- The player took all of his normal reps.
- NIR (not injury-related)
- The player was held out for something other than an injury, usually a scheduled veteran rest day or a personal matter.
- Out
- The player won't play in the game.
- Doubtful
- The player is unlikely to play.
- Questionable
- It's uncertain whether the player will play.
- Designated for return
- A player on injured reserve or the PUP list has started practicing again. His team then has 21 days to move him to the active roster.
